Synrad Reaches 100,000th Laser Milestone
Mukilteo, WA - On August 28, 2007, Synrad, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of sealed CO2 lasers, shipped its 100,000th laser. Appropriately, the 10W laser, bound for Japan, was the first model developed by the company, more than 20 years ago.
Synrad was founded in 1984 by Peter Laakmann, who pioneered the RF-excited, sealed CO2 laser. Originally finding their niche in desktop manufacturing systems, these lasers have continued to find new applications in manufacturing processes worldwide - in everything from coding electronics, to cutting automotive parts, to decorating leather goods, and more. Now a subsidiary of Excel Technology Inc, Synrad’s product line currently includes CO2 laser models from 10 to 400W, as well as laser marking heads, laser marking software, and power meters.
Synrad is headquartered in Mukilteo, WA, and has sales and service offices worldwide. For more information about Synrad and Synrad products, visit our website at www.synrad.com , e-mail us at synrad@synrad.com or call 1-800-SYNRAD1.
