System Configurations for Synrad CO2 Lasers

MUKILTEO, Washington, September 2008 – Synrad CO2 lasers provide the "engine" for numerous cutting, marking, and engraving systems worldwide. While our lasers are an integral part of such systems, additional components are required to make up a complete solution. The primary components of any laser processing system are the laser, the beam delivery system, and computer control.

There are many possible laser system variations, but most fall into one or a combination of four basic configurations: gantry systems, galvanometer scanners, XY tables, and "flying optics" systems.
