Synrad's FH Flyer Marking Head is Ideal for OEMs
MUKILTEO, Washington, December 6, 2007 We know that many of our customers design and build their own galvo’ marking heads. However, for those looking to save time on development, or targeting smaller markets where it is not cost-effective to develop proprietary hardware and software, Synrad offers the perfect solution.
The new FH Series “Flyer” marking head marks at speeds up to 450 characters per second in either static (index) or dynamic (tracking) laser-marking applications. Our own WinMark Pro software and a simple mounting kit are all that are required to pair Flyer with any Synrad CO2 laser from 10 to 125W to accomplish a wide range of applications.
Flyer’s all-digital technology offers users several benefits, including faster, better marks than ever before. A USB connection eliminates the need for a PC interface card, simplifying set-up. Once configured, the head can then communicate with the computer, server or network via Ethernet or USB interface.
We strongly recommend the Ethernet interface for industrial applications because of its widespread use in manufacturing environments, locking connectors, robust communications protocol, and the availability of other Ethernet-enabled control devices. Although USB is an excellent choice for development in office environments, industrial deployment can suffer from the USB interface's lack of electrical isolation and locking connectors. However, for those who prefer the USB interface, we have produced a Technical Bulletin with suggestions and recommendations to ensure trouble-free operation.
