See Synrad lasers in action!

Process Date: October 1999

1”-diameter metal tube, marked with a Synrad 100-watt sealed CO2 laser and FH-Series “Index” Marking Head at 2” per second.

Synrad’s FH-Series “Index” Marking Head was used with a 125mm focal length lens to mark this metal cylinder. Non-distorted characters were marked a distance of 0.75” around the 1” diameter tube.

CO2 lasers offer significant cost savings over YAG lasers, which are more commonly known for use in metal marking applications. In addition, the CO2 laser causes no destruction of the metal, and provides a safer wavelength than a YAG laser for general industrial use.
