Close up of laser cut non-slip flooring. Cutting was done with a 50-watt Synrad laser and 10psi nitrogen assist at a speed of 2.75" per second.
This abrasive composite material is used to create non-slip surfaces such as floor mats. The laser seals the edges of this synthetic material, resulting in clean edges with no fraying - plus, the non-contact process results in no tool wear, eliminating potential downtime for cleaning and re-sharpening blades.
