We
achieved these cuts on the 0.6” thick foam using
a Synrad EVO 125W laser with a cutting speed of 420 inches per minute
and a spot size of 0.012”.
The 2“ thick foam was cut at a speed of 75 inches per minute
and required a longer focal length lens of 7.5 inches.
The same results can also be achieved using our 200W laser with
faster cutting speeds!
Edge quality with this type of foam is excellent, with no discoloration or melting. The walls are parallel, making this an exceptionally good application for CO2 lasers.

Laser cutting results in no discoloration, distortion or melting!
