   Synrad CO2 lasers and FH marking heads provide readable 2D Data Matrix codes on tinted auto glass assisted by the use of WinMark Pro's spot marking style property.  The code shown on the left was marked at a speed of 15 inches per second using a 10W laser with a resolution of 50 dpi.  The spot marking style was set to "Yes" and spot mark duration was 0.1mS.  The marks were created using 2 mark passes, in a total cycle time of 1.7 seconds.  (For photo purposes we illuminated the glass from behind.)

Readable codes can be made on tinted glass using a 10W laser.
