Cutting Steel Tubing

Process Date: October 2002

Using 200W, the steel tubing (with 0.05” wall thickness) was cut at a speed of 130ipm with 40psi O2 assist gas.  The tubing can also be cut using an assist gas of air instead of Oxygen, however the cutting speed drops significantly (to 30 inches per minute) and a slight burr is left on the inside cut edge.
